![]() ![]() I love the flow of the fabric, that it was created with panels instead of sheets of fabric. I'm new to MIMU land and the quality and thought that's put in to each product is really amazing. I love that I can roll it to be the perfect length and it doesn't make my lunch feel like I spent hours at a smorgasbord! The fabric is that lovely smooth and flawless fabric from the frock (I have 4 of them so far). I got the XL because Large was sold out which is what I usually wear but I hated all my other skirts. Let's start off with the 2 inch waist band. Well, this is the most wonderful skirt for me. I hesitated so long before buying this because I felt I couldn't justify the cost. I am so tired of buying skirts that aren't flattering and/or are cheap. Take advantage of this skirt during pregnancy when your usual wardrobe staples may get a bit shorter.Use the skirt as a peeking-out layer from longer items that have side-slits.Wear with an oversized shirt and compliment with a long vest that meets the skirt, emphasizing your over-layers.Put it on to enhance a layered, dimensional outfit just for fun.Use it under a dress that is just too short for your liking.Pair with a long chunky weighted knit sweater. While the Peek Skirt is perfect as a high waisted skirt for cotton-tees and blouses, it takes on a barely-there life of it's own when worn as an under-layer, beneath heavier pieces and boxy shirts and sweaters. The MIMU Peek Skirt is a lightweight, silky, slip-inspired skirt designed to peek-a-boo from your favorite longer wardrobe items that need a shy, flirty, barely-there pairing. The Peek Skirt in this fabric takes on a more casual meaning! That’s a bit too much even for us.*This skirt features the same no-pill, wash-a-million-times, no-fade, comfy quality fabric as our Frock and Skirt Leggings collection!* We talk about panties pretty casually, and that’s the way we like it!īut however much you like panties, please don’t do this, haha. Panties are everywhere in Japan – anime, video games, toys, movies, magazines and even news programs. We’ll tell each other, “ Ima meccha PK!” (I’m having a super wedgie right now!) When I was in junior and senior high school we girls laughed about it all the time. ![]() They’re probably big fans of Wakamechan, haha.Īnd we can’t talk about panties without mentioning wedgies! In Japan we call it PK, which is short for pantsu kuikondeiru. It might be a little embarrassing for her when she realizes it, but on the other hand there are some girls who don’t care at all if people can see their panties. You might see their panties accidentally even if you don’t want to, because it’s right in your face. It happens every day in Japan, especially when they’re walking up the stairs or sitting on the train. It happens when a Japanese girl wears a skirt that’s really short but she forgets and acts like she’s wearing jeans, lol. That’s her regular style, but there’s a thing we call accident panties too. For example, there’s Wakamechan, a beloved manga character from Sazae-San who has been flashing her panties at us for over 45 years. Panties have been in our culture for a long time. I mean, we even have a super popular gacha series based on panties for your drink bottles. In fact, I think panties are one of our kawaii icons. And we don’t think it’s weird to see them at all. Japanese people – men, women, kids, grandmas and grandpas – we love panties. Actually, seeing panties in Japan is not as big a deal as it is elsewhere. Ok I just want to pause here and say that this article is written by me, Shiori, so please don’t worry, haha. Now that summer is here, short skirts are everywhere, and your chances of accidentally seeing panties while walking up the stairs or escalator are higher, haha. I’m feeling cold just thinking about it, but they do it anyway because showing off your legs is considered cute, and to them looking cute is more important than being warm and comfortable. So much so that they’ll wear them even in the coldest part of winter. Japanese girls love short skirts, especially junior and high school students. ![]()
